Happy New Year!
2019 marked the end of a decade of accomplishments and many new milestones for BeatBabel. Our team kept growing and welcomed new members from 3 different countries (Peru, Brazil and China). We continued to train, to learn new tools, and attended several international conferences to better address clients’ global needs and provide the best solutions. We strengthened the relationship with our translators and acknowledged them for the language rockstars they are! We volunteered with several worldwide organizations from the Globalization and Localization Association to Women in Localization. We donated, marched and attended fundraisers for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Translators Without Borders. For the holiday season, we donated and got involved with a local non-profit Buena Onda to help them build better facilities for education and health in Baja, Mexico. We published articles in technical magazines. We launched our new online Translation Business Management System focusing on increased efficiency, integration and security. We collaborated with several universities to host summer and yearly internship student programs and sponsored the GALA Rising Star Contest to help integrate a new generation of project managers and linguists into the localization work force. And finally, we celebrated our 10-year anniversary with our awesome team in the office and at Stone Brewery in San Diego (check out our video below).
So here is our big THANK YOU to our team, clients, translators, partners and friends who celebrated with us a decade of hard work, passion and commitment! In French 20/20 is the best grade you can ever get in school or university. Consider it an A++. That is an omen for all the good and promising things coming our way this year! At BeatBabel, we had a blast in 2019 and we are ready to make the New Roaring Twenties even more exciting!
