We are currently looking for a Localization Project Manager for our Downtown San Diego office. We are located within walking distance from Little Italy and Seaport Village, a few blocks away from public transportation (trolley and train station).

What you will be doing

  • Responsible for planning and execution of localization projects from start to finish. Tasks will include: project analysis, quoting, project planning/preparation using standard localization industry processes and tools, maintaining client contacts, task assignments, scheduling, project/budget tracking, client deliveries, TM updates, closing of projects...

  • Ensure project management portal data is accurate and up to date

  • Oversee external teams and ensure strict adherence to timelines on all projects

  • Maintain and establish strong relationships with both internal/external resources and customers

  • Provide regular status to management and clients on project progress

  • Provide excellent customer service and represent BeatBabel in client-facing communications

What you need to have

  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the translation and localization industry

  • Fluent communication skills of written and spoken English

  • Fluent in at least one other language. Portuguese, Chinese, Spanish preferred.

  • BA or MA Degree (linguistics, translation, business or technology preferred)

  • Extensive knowledge of internationalization and localization processes

  • Experience with CAT tools (SDL Studio, Smartling or similar tools)

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize and follow-through with projects

  • Detail-oriented and meticulous approach to work

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with desktop publishing applications (InDesign, Illustrator, or similar tools)

  • Experience with multimedia projects and tools (Final Cut Pro, Premiere or similar)

  • Experience with MT
