LOCALIZATION COORDINATOR

We are currently looking for a Localization Project Coordinator for our Downtown San Diego office. We are located within walking distance from Little Italy and Seaport Village, a few blocks away from public transportation (trolley and train station).

If you enjoy team work in a multicultural environment, speak two languages, have 1-2 years of work experience in the translation industry then we want to hear from you.

What you will be doing

  • Help with planning and execution of localization/translation projects using our translation management portal. Tasks will include: file analysis, preparation using translation industry processes and tools, task assignments, project tracking, Translation Memory updates…

  • Perform some production work and in-house Quality Assurance

  • Perform some translation and editing work in your language combination as needed

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal/external resources

  • Support and provide regular status report to project manager on project progress.

What you need to have

  • Fluent communication skills of written and spoken English.

  • Fluent in at least one other language: Portuguese, Chinese, Spanish preferred.

  • Degree in Translation, Linguistics, Localization or similar fields preferred.

  • Awareness of internationalization and localization processes.

  • Good communication skills, highly organized with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

  • Ability to prioritize and follow-through with projects and to work with deadlines.

  • Experience with CAT tools (SDL Studio, Smartling or similar tools).

Bonus skills

  • Experience with multimedia or desktop publishing applications (InDesign, Photoshop or Illustrator)
