Freelance French Canadian Editor (Translation & QA)

About BeatBabel: We are a professional language services provider specializing in high-quality translations and localization solutions. We’re expanding our network of talented linguists and are currently seeking experienced French Canadian Editors for translation and QA projects for several of our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Review and edit English → French Canadian translations for accuracy, style, and consistency

• Perform quality assurance (QA) checks to ensure linguistic and formatting standards are met

• Collaborate with project managers and translators to resolve linguistic queries

• Maintain adherence to client-specific terminology and guidelines

Requirements:

• Native speaker of Quebec French (Canadian French)

• Excellent command of English (both written and spoken)

• Proven experience in translation and linguistic QA

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

• Experience with business management, software or other related topics

• Good working knowledge of CAT tools, particularly Phrase (Memsource) and Trados Studio

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Validation, In-context review or QA processes
