Our project management suite of tools was initially developed as an alternative to off-the-shelf products that were either prohibitively expensive or not suitable for our purpose. So we decided to build our own. The result is an inexpensive tool that offers:

• file upload and download capability without the use of FTP;
• version tracking of uploaded files;
• status reporting;
